OTA Settings

OTA configuration settings such as WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and IAP (Internet Access Point) are used to provide mobiles devices with the necessary settings for a user to access value added services and other data services. Mobile devices are getting more advanced every day and the correct configuration parameters is vital for users to access advanced services.

Tweakker sends out bundled binary SMSs that terminate a configuration on the device creating the access point. Internet Access Points normally allow full internet access whereas WAP Access Points usually put users behind a proxy restricting usage to just WAP sites.

Tweakker supports the following OTA configurations:

  • WAP GPRS and IAP GPRS OTA configuration settings for internet browsing.
  • MMS GPRS OTA configuration settings for multimedia messaging.
  • E-mail OTA configuration settings.
  • Streaming OTA configuration settings for media streaming on streaming capable mobile phones.
  • JAVA OTA configuration settings for mobile phones with JAVA capabilities.
